            "Facing prostate cancer at 55, I had to become
            informed. My Gleason score was 6, my stage was 2 c cancer on both
            sides of the prostate. I decided on the procedure that was best for
            me. It may not be the procedure for you. I chose Dr Thomas J
            Maatman and the da Vinci™ Prostatectectomy. The most
            important thing with this surgery is the number of procedures the
            surgeon has done, and what the patient outcomes are. This surgery
            has a steep learning curve. I had a great outcome! PSA 0.06, good
            bladder control at 4 weeks and mostly normal erections at 7 months.
            It can take 2 years or longer to have full recovery of erections.
            This is major surgery. I was in the hospital 2-1/2 days with mostly
            manageable pain. My recovery went well. Exercise and sleep helped
            my bladder control and fatigue. Walking and cycling worked for me."
